I realize the devs tried to fix some problems with the automator by adding more nodes, and I hope this was just a temporary fix because, as it stands in v0.06, it's becoming a serious problem. On my fourth play through, I can definitely say the most NON-fun thing in the game is spending skill points on automator nodes.
